Massage therapy graduates in Georgia can work in diverse settings, including spas, wellness centers, chiropractic offices, rehabilitation clinics, or private practices. Growing awareness of the benefits of therapeutic massage has increased demand in hospitals and sports settings. Schools like ours also include career planning and business courses to help students transition confidently into employment or private practice.
At Strada Institute, quality begins with who stands at the front of the classroom. According to Georgia law, massage therapy instructors are only required to have a couple years of experience but every member of our faculty brings decades of hands-on expertise from diverse areas of practice. We believe that only true professionals and current practitioners should teach the next generation of therapists. Each instructor is not only highly skilled but also deeply passionate about massage therapy, committed to mentoring students and guiding them with patience, integrity, and care.
Our approach to training balances structure with progression. Students learn clear, repeatable routines early in the program so they feel confident and prepared when entering clinic. We gradually increase clinic hours, allowing students to build skill and stamina safely. A strong emphasis is placed on sanitation protocols, body mechanics, self-care, and ergonomics – skills that protect both client and therapist while promoting long-term professional health.
We also recognize that massage therapy is more than technique, it’s communication with the nervous system. Students explore how the body’s stress responses influence soft tissue dysfunction. Every lesson reinforces the importance of trauma-informed care, professional ethics, and emotional boundaries.
Research and lifelong learning are key threads in our program. Students complete a guided massage therapy research project they may choose to submit for the Massage Therapy Foundation Case Report Contest. Our philosophy is rooted in fundamentals, evidence-based education, and humility in practice. We prepare students for success not just at graduation but for a career of ongoing growth and continuing education.
